We didn't know when StarCraft 2 may benefit from a "robust new 3D graphics-rendering engine," until that the game would be receiving a post-launch patch enabling that other kind of 3D (read: the "needs glasses" kind) recently. In an interview with IGN -- which, not a joke, a StarCraft 2 logo-emblazoned Korean Air plane was unveiled at a South Korean media event -- production director Chris Sagaty said, "We will be releasing 3D in the first few weeks, for those Nvidia cards and screens that support it."
What is more, an Nvidia rep told IGN that it's "optimising for all systems,"too, so that the 3D support would work on as many systems as possible. We may try to get it working ourselves, if it was not for our sheer terror at the thought of a Zergling flood coming through the screen.
It is no doubt that StarCraft 2 will be more funny to play, cause the 3D effect is very wonderful and attractive.
